Do I do that?

Story #2: The Tale of a Delicious Sundae

Well, we have our second story of how far R10 can go to brighten and lighten up someone’s day.

This story of how my friends, Shevi and Saul, chose to use their R10 goes a little something like this:

“When we were given a R10 note and instructed to use it to make someone happy, we thought long and hard about what we would do.

Because our streets are filled with beggars and homeless people, many of which have children with them, we thought to give it to one of those people and bring them some happiness. But we wanted to stretch R10 to make more than one person happy and so we went off to Mc Donalds, bought 3 ice creams at R2.95 each and we drove around giving  ice-creams to children J. The change was given to another beggar, tallying the “spread of happiness” to 4 people.

The joy it brought to these 3 children and the other man was so clear and warmed our hearts to know that their day was made that much happier because of this small act of giving.

What a wonderful way to spread happiness and joy in the world by doing such a small deed of kindness.

Thank you for inspiring us and initiating this awesome manner in which we can truly appreciate the small things in our lives on a daily basis.” (Shevi & Saul)
